From what I have read Type R's get louder in small boxes as long as you have the power. His sig says KAC-9104D which isnt enough power and the picture shows a Legacy Ice amp which still is kinda weak.

Find me a glue that has the same tensile strength as a screwed joint. Glue is good in shear due to the large surface area.

brad nails have no pulling resitance which is what your box will be doing (trying to pull loose from the supports). Use screws just make sure you predrill.

Your battery is your power supply for your amp. Your amp will not be getting the current it needs to produce the power your asking of it. This is not a good thing. I believe this can cause clipping but im not 100% sure. Buy a new battery before you toast your alternator, your amp, and your subs.

Drill 2 holes one above and one below and make a brace. Since welding is out the the question (heat and non metal woofer parts). I do not think globs of any sort of "glue" will be very strong in this situation. I would maybe use some sort of jb weld type stuff in the break to prevent rattle then...

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess without your second sub your ohm load to the amp will be 2 ohms hopefully so with your 2nd one you will have a 1 ohm final load so you will only be getting the 2 ohm rated power which looks to be fine (depended not box and electrical system) for the jug!

You wouldnt want to build a box and put it directly across from it you would encounter some cancelation i would believe. Have you tried changing the orintation of your box? Aim it back? Or up?

The SPG is an extremely expensive sub. I have heard they get loud and sound pretty darn good. But for the cost of it you could probably sell it and have some pretty good money to buy a couple loud subs.
