So I am getting two 4ohm subs and my amp wouldn't be able to give them enough power unless they are at 2ohm. From what I know which is not a whole lot is the extra battery is to hold you around a voltage of about 13v or something close to that. I know there will be a senior member that will correct me but to my knowledge the extra battery is just to hold more power for when your amp really starts...

Okay it wont let me post a link to the manual but it is the "Steering Remote Control Interface Connector" if I could post the manual it would help out a ton has the whole wiring diagram but just google your HU and its on alpines support section of their site.

What kind of HU do you need, din or double din?

My system that I plan on getting is around 500 and its just a fairly cheap JVC deck, a kenwood 1000w mono block and two alpine type e subs already have a small amp for the door speakers so that cuts the price down a bit.

Did some reading and if I wire the subs parallel then I can get them at a 2 ohm load since they only have one voice coil so the amp would be able to give them 500x1 at 2 ohms. So I am pretty sure that would be good enough.

I was checking some stuff out and I wasn't sure if I needed a more powerful amp to power my subs. The kenwood amp puts out 300x1 rms at 4 ohms but I am looking at getting two 4 ohms subs that need 250x1 rms. So my question is would I need a more powerful amp to run both subs or would this be okay?

So for ideal output I would have to make a 24x12x12 box that would have a volume of 2 and idealy is like 1.98 so I guess I will put that in the back with a amp rack on top.

Did some measurements, I can make a box 39" wide, 20" tall, and up to 30" deep, only going to go like 12" deep though, but I am really pretty much throwing this idea out and thinking about just making a simple sealed box with two 10" Alpine Type E's and the box volume would be about 5.31 with...
