Will this amp be enough for this sub?

Spend the 20, use the extra headroom to keep the gains low. Also leaves room to add another 10 if you should feel yourself lacking for bass. Worth the 20 in my opinion

    I have an issue

Is the thunderform box specific to your truck? What truck and year? Perhaps it can be found so we can get more specifics. Looks like you're using both channels, but only one set of rcas so 1 channel is likely not sending any power cause it's not getting any input signal. Is there 2 wiring spots...

How do I fix this expensive setup?

So you're using the factory headunit as your source to the dsp? Most factory head units will roll off bass and make other eq adjustments to protect the factory equipment. Things like the JL fix86 are used to correct/flatten the signal before it's sent to the dsp for processing when using the...

Anybody have personal experience with cresendo audio pwx 6.5" midranges in a SQ build

If you want decent midbass and midrange, you gotta pay that price or step up in size. Especially in the PA world, trade off of efficiency and bandwidth. Beyma makes a nice 6.5 that has a pretty solid bandwidth, the 6g40nd, they go for about $150 a piece. Stevens SA6 is a solid mid as well, more...

Any interest in infinite baffle (ib)? Check it out Or that link that aespinoza linked would work and it comes with everything you need to get bumping pretty quick. I believe in the power of cone area, no replacement for displacement.

    High ohm load capable amplifier?

Man that sub is 97db, you could probably get away with a 2000 @ 4 ohm amp and never turn it all the way. That'd net you around 1500w @ 6... and with that kind of efficiency... probably make your ears bleed.

Can I put a sub in my truck?

Well that's a mono block, not a 4 channel. It says it's 300w@2ohm, doesn't mention 1 ohm so I wouldn't go lower than 2 ohm impedance. With that amp, you'd want something that is dual/DVC 4 ohm coils so it can be wired to 2 ohms and get 300w. Pretty much you'll be looking for a 300 watt RMS...

Need help just to get started

Kicker and Fosgate are over priced, due to their marketing. They make an okay product, but for the money there are a plethora of better options. In regards to subs, sub placement and box are gonna make a big difference, nearly as much difference as the actual sub itself. 5-700 is a is a decent...

Need help just to get started

Brand matching isn't necessary, can just look cleaner to have matching stuff. Pick some subs, and then buy the amp the provides the power you need for the sub/s. There's 1000s of subs out there. Some require a lot of space, some small, some the entire trunk. For me I've always enjoyed the Image...

1st Build 2005 Silverado Crew Cab

The stage will present as wide as the gear is. The sails are a good spot for albeit not as deep as the a pillar can be. T/A won't be available until you get that dsp-408 up and running. Personally I've always had the best luck running the wire from the amp all the way back up to the battery...

Can I put a sub in my truck?

What amp? What budget on sub and enclosure? Most amps can be bridged, when bridged they usually can't see lower than a 4 ohm load. I had a Sundown SD3 10" on 2 channels bridged from my NVX JAD800.4, worked just fine, dual 2 ohm coils wired to 4 ohm for the amp.

How good are Dynaudio esotec 342?

Hard to go wrong with Dyn, they make a fine product and have for some time. Hertz Legends are pretty good too, plenty of satisfied customers. A good installation, solid baffles, decent placement of drivers and tuning will make as much difference as the name/amount spent on gear too though in...
