Yeah I'm not stupid guy. I used a dmm to set it just saying the power I was running just saying how much they take so you WOULD understand I'm NOT running the amp at full power.

K amp can go 1000 but I used a dmmm and set the gain to get 600 no need to second guess my wiring or settings so mark that out. The subs are svc 4 ohm so when both are connected parallel then I get a 2 ohm load that's all right trust me i'm good at that i just can't figure why they are dimming...

Wouldn't the battery die really quick with out an alt to charge it? Scratch that re-read ok but how do you connect it and will it really be necessary? I think A good cap whould work... And don't start saying Caps are crap people cause it's not the point of this thread I might as well try.

Ok so just got under her and I have a freaking Bosch 140 amp so now I'm seriously wondering what the hell!? I get about 14 volts when the car is on which is right so I can't fathom why it is dimming at all! It did read 13.8-13.9 until I turned off the stereo and let it run for a few minutes then...

The only real way to tell for sure IMO is hook it all up and if your lights dim then you know you have to bite the bullet and get a ho alt. Some shops can just upgrade your stock alt to become a ho alt too. Also you should buy a deep-cell batt and try to get a yellow or red cap. Makes sure all...

Good point I have a rf 1000-d but my subs only run 300rms each so of course only pushing 600rms. So how much will it cost to have a shop test my alt and battery? and don't I have to take out my alt for them to test it?

So my lights dim when my subs are going (go figure) but should really a 600w rms system be dimming my lights when subs hit extra hard? I have a 4 gauge wiring kit now could the fact that it's at two ohms make a difference I know power wise it does but does it just pull harder than 4 ohms?

I think I'll try it and if it turns out to be a fail then oh well then I'll revert back to jl's design and add the angled back thanks

yeah i will instead of attaching it the rear i'll slide it up then just cut the second parts top and bottom to the appropiate angles

RE Enclosure Calculator It says you can and I searched around and people said as long as it is the right ft^3 then you're golden so can that second part ever be to close to the further wall?
