Measure the subs impedance see if u still get a coil reading. Could be the coil or tinsel lead as stated. U could possibly repair the tinsel if broke or have it reconed if r2 he subs worth the money.

that all depends on the ohm load your running as the voltage at the outputs changes depending on load. I beleive there is a thread on how to set gains with a dmm.

Digital multi meter. That amp should do around 500 @ 4ohm and 1000@2. Should make plenty of noise. Id recheck the ground wire. An unhappy ground can wreak havoc
