I definitely need more power but don’t want to go buy a bigger badder amp if I end up completely changing my system. I could always give my old stuff to my gf if a bigger amp doesn’t solve the problem though.
My amp right now has a remote knob with the phone line lookin wire. I was thinking maybe unplug that and put in a rca one because some of my friends don’t have the amp knob thing and they have a much broader range they can turn that rca knob to. I don’t like the idea of having more than one knob...
How does he power the subs? Does he have 3 mono amps or something? Is it ok to wire up subs at a weird resistance because I’m trying to think how he would go about doing something like that?
The idea of different kinds of subs was just a random thought because maybe you could use some sort of a crossover but now I see that would be just as hard as mixing sub sizes and I’m not a sound engineer that can tune that stuff that crazily. I guess I’ll cross that off the list of ideas. As...
I was trying to find some info about 3 12” sub boxes and setups but I couldn’t find much info on if they are good or just a waste of money. I want to slowly upgrade my car audio system and one of my main concerns is that I listen to a lot of different music that is mastered very differently...
Thank you so much as I had no clue what a dsp was and my goal is really just to make my car sound better not to just increase volume. It seems like I would be best off saving some money and just re doing my whole system for the best sound quality.
Is doesn’t matter how many channels my head unit has if I’m using an amp right? Or do I still connect some speakers to the head unit and just the sub to the amp?
I think I only have 2 tweeters unless there are more hidden inside my doors because I haven’t taken my car apart yet. From what I understand most people are telling me that I don’t need to use ever speaker. I think I will get a nice 4 channel head unit but I still have to figure out if I can...
So I’m super new to car audio and want to upgrade my 2009 Toyota Corolla s. I figured out my car has the 8 channel speaker trim package so it has 4 door speakers (I think they a woofers) 2 tweeters and 2 more speakers behind the back seats (idk if what they are). I think that means I need an 8...
