10" skar vvx vs 12" type r

Which would be louder and have better sound quality? I have a 2 cubic foot box tuned to around 33hz and have a friend willing to sell his skar cheap so was wondering which one you guys would think would have more sq and or spl. Thanks!

Alright cool! Im used to 12 inch subwoofers (type r, type s, and an l7) do you think ill like this? I know skar is a very nice sub compared to the others! Thanks!

In all honesty, a 12in Type R in an optimal box will be louder the a skar 10 for 2 reasons; cone area and the R having a slightly better spl output ratio then a Skar on the SAME power input...that said, the skar will sound quite a bit better, especially on the low end and below tuning

Alright cool! Yeah I loved the L7 when it came to hard hitting songs but when it came to rock and anything with drums I was disappointed. Thanks for your input!

......... uhm..... those skars will pretty much outshine a type r in everyway.

no offense to what that guy said, but all the numbers point to that.
