Best enclosure size for my subs

I just bougth 2 12" L7's and I need to get an enclosure for them and i need an ideal size for the subs. The suggested size is from .88cu.ft. to 2.0cu.ft.. If i had the larger size what would be the differencr\e from the smaller size box. please let me know what you think would be better.
