Gain tuning my amp w/ sub?

New to a sub/amp combo.

My amp is putting out 200w rms in bridged mode.

My sub is rated at 250w rms. (single 10" alpine type e)

Since the amp doesn't put out the full potential wattage the sub is capable of, do i crank up the gain to max?

multimeter. set it with a multimeter.

theres videos on youtube how to set up youramp with a multimeter. it leterally takes a few minutes. and a little bit of basic math as well.

You can get close with tones, but music signal is all OVER the place in both frequencies and voltages. Like, if you listen to rap, the bass line...
