Hello I just got a Pioneer car stereo with an Audiobahn 800 watt amp and a 12" Power Acoustik sub. I'm really confused with the settings on the Pioneer stereo. I don't know what the cut-off frequency means for the subwoofer and what the HPF setting means. I would like both highs and bass in my car. I don't want to drown my music with just bass. So how should I have the settings set up for that also. I am a nubie with car audio! Thanks for the help!

Cut off frequency is just that.this keeps the highs from going to the sub.hpf kinda like the same thing.set that at 80. Wouldn't worry about too much bass with set up you currently have.if it were me with that set up I would put the 6×9s on the amp also(with bass blockers)and keep the other speakers running off the radio

Turn the volume completely down and operate ot normally. This is to see if it is the built in amplifier that is shutting down. If the radio does...
