Pioneer head units X56 vs X5600

What do the extra two zeros mean in Pioneer head units?

Like DEH-X56HD versus DEH-X5600HD

They do this with lots of models. I've looked at the manual and can't tell a difference.

Manuals are the same. Only thing I can think of is 5600 is meant for US and 56 is for OUS.

As far as I know, the shorter model numbers are the Walmart models. Walmart demands things of manufacturers that other retailers don't do, so I imagine the different model numbers are part of tracking those units more easily.
