soundstream reference class a 6.0 w/ 2 JL Audio 12w6

A friend of mine has had this setup sitting in storage for years. I was thinking about making him an offer but havent had a system since about 95 when this setup was new. Anyways what I need help with is

a) is this a good set up?

b) what's a fair price to offer him? (the 12's are in a custom built box)
