Targa amp? What do I have here...

I actually saw a pretty sweet system built on that exact amp. Install wizardry at its finest. Good speakers, smart gain setting and a really trick sub enclosure for a pair of 8s and that budget amp. Front stage sounded good and the subs pounded, especially for a pair of 8s.

I used to have a silver Targa amp for a couple of years running on my highs in a couple different cars. Didn't sound too shabby either and I do remember the guy I got it off of said it was a knock off of sherwood, or vice versa. I can't remember now.

Was actually stolen in one of my cars and they ended up finding the guys that took it and got it back and played it for another couple weeks. I think they jacked something up while ripping it out, because it died on me soon after.

brings back memories of my teenage years....had this or one just like it. Pushed my Kicker Comps decent. Was definitely a budget amp, but got the job done! Also bought a 6 channel/900 W model Targa. I did not keep this one very long and went to a MTX amp and JL audio W3's.

Was bumping a 15 year old thread really necessary?

No need to bypass the amp. Most use an LOC that takes the full amped signal and turns it into a flat RCA level signal. Here is the newest I have...
